When: December 5, 1955-to December 20, 1956
People involved: Rosa Parks, Reverend Martin Luther King Jr., Ralph Abernathy
Where: Montgomery, Alabama
Cause: There was forced segregation on public transit where separate was true but equal was not, and blacks basically had had enough
Effect: the ruling of Browder v. Gayle took effect, leading to a Supreme Court decision that declared the Alabama and Montgomery segregation bus laws unconstitutional
