The Kingdom of Mutapa – sometimes referred to as the Mutapa Empire, Mwenemutapa, was a Zezuru kingdom which was centered in the Zambezi valley in what are the modern states of northern Zimbabwe, north western Mozambique and south eastern Zambia.
