Mirandola was an Italian scholar and Platonist philosopher who wrote "The Oration on the Dignity of Man" which was a humanist masterpiece. This work argued against the belief up until then that humans had no dignity and were evil by nature and made points about how humans were all equal, as well as capable of greatness by themselves.
