The Spanish no longer had any threats in East Texas. So they sent inspector Marques de Rubi to see if the missions and presidios were still necessary. He arrived in Texas in July 1767, and ended up travelling about 7,500 miles. He returned to Mexico and proposed that all missions in Texas, except for those in San Antonio and Goliad, should be closed; In 1773, the Spanish governor of Texas closed the last missions and Texas.Добавлено на ленту времени:
