Centralized FranceSubordinated Church in FRance to his control. More efficient taxation, established regular legal code (Code Louis, basis for Nap. Code)
His methods and FR culture were imitated throughout Europe. Evolution of idea of absolute monarchy - it had to be efficient and seek popular support. Absolute monarchy became "enlightened"
