The Balkan Wars occurred between 1912 and 1913, with the Balkan League (Serbia, Greece, Montenegro, and Bulgaria) fighting against the Ottoman Empire in the first war and later among themselves in the second. Serbia emerged stronger, which alarmed Austria-Hungary, fearing Serbia’s growing influence in the Balkans.
