High Iopon (1 янв 550 г. – 1 янв 800 г.)
Описание:
During the Empire of Iopo, the Iopon script began to be simplified and the High Iopon Script was developed.
Sound changes between Middle Iopon to High Iopon:
Vowel Length no longer matters
/iː/ > /i/ or /eɪ̯/
/aː/ > /a/ or /ɑʊ̯/
Intervocalic stop > Fricative or Deletion
/β, ð, ɣ/ > /v, z, x/ or disappear
/t/ > /s/, /d/ > /z/, /k/ > /x/ or ∅
Vowel Coalescence and Elision
Two adjacent vowels coalesce into one or form glides
/ai/ > e, /ɑ̯ʊ/ > /o/
Unstressed syllables collapse
/Cə.CV/ > /CV/
Exe. /jeh.ki/ > /je.ki/
Loss of Most Consonant Clusters
Many verb and noun endings flatten, merging previously distinct forms
Reduction of Morphological Person/Number Endings
Comples suffixes like /-avas/, /-ames/, /-etas/ lose phonological integrity
Verbal distinctions become analytic:
1st person = invariant verb stem + pronoun
Exe. /sɪleɪ̯/ > /sleɪ̯ is/
Verbs do not inflect for person or tense independently
Pronouns Fixation of SVO Word Order
Subject pronouns become obligatory for person marking
Rise of Prepositions as grammatical markers
Prepositions used for clarity become required
Prepositions often merge phonologically with verbs mainly as prefixes
Stress simplification and rise of intonation
Penultimate stress erodes due to vowel reduction
intonation replaces stress in many contexts
emphasis may begin shifting toward glide insertion or word-final pitch
