Once again Columbus sought to find a route to the Indian Ocean and Asia, but evidently there was none. In this time Columbus explored the present day areas of Nicaragua, Honduras and Panama. During the voyage Columbus; ships were extensively damaged and he became stranded in Jamaica for almost an entire year.
