Chile got its independance in 1818, but still, many fights about this continued after. There was a lot of poverty during that time. Chile left three groups in chaos for leadership. Jose de San Martin was participating in a secret society to bring back the freedom to Chile. (Had to put Jan for it to show)Some significant people are Jose de San Martin and Bernando O-Higgins.
