Most prominent of the 19th century socialists were German theorists Karl and Friedrich. They scorned the utopian socialists as unrealistic dabblers whose ideal communities had no hope of resolving the problems. Together with Engels, Marx also wrote a short, spirited tract titled Manifesto of the Communist Party (1848.)
They aligned themselves with the communists, who worked toward the abolition of private property and the institution of a radically egalitarian society
