After the removal of the current Seleucid king, the Seleucid Empire was divided between the Bactrians in north-central Asia and the Indo-Greeks in Pakistan and western Punjab. As a result, the Selaiki court and chieftains were split, but Selga became a province of the Indo-Greek kingdom due to having a more lenient ethnic customs.
