Other Offices: Commissioner Northern Pacific Railroad; Speaker of the House (1881-1882); State Senator (1885-1886); Delegate to the Republican National Committee (1880, 1896); Newport School Committee; Commissioner to the World's Columbian Exposition (1893); Commissioner Tennessee Centennial (1896)
