Zimri reigned for 7 days.
He was evil because he walked in the way of Jeroboam and made Israel sin.
"[Zimri died] because of his sins that he committed, doing evil in the sight of the Lord, walking in the way of Jeroboam, and for his sin which he committed, making Israel to sin." (1 Kings 16:19)
a. Zimri killed himself by burning his house down with himself in it.
