"English biblical translator and Protestant martyr...Tyndale became convinced that the Bible alone should determine the practices and doctrines of the church and that all believers should be able to read the Bible in their own language."-Britannica
Tyndale would go on to translate the Bible into English and distribute copies of the text to the people. He would ultimately be martyred by Church authorities.
