This was President FDR's response to the great depression in an effort to solve America's economic crisis of the time. This employed a series of programs that fell within one of the three Rs: Relief, Recovery, and Reform. Relief was to help struggling Americans get back on their feet after hard times and included many new jobs backed by the government. Recovery aspects were to help the short-term economy bounce back which would help to stabilize future jobs. Reform was to safeguard from a future economic crisis and included the formation of the FDIC.
