Giuseppe Garibaldi, the coolest man in human history, took 1000 poorly armed redshirt volunteers to Sicily, with British naval and financial backing, where he quickly succeeded in defeating the pathetic Neapolitan military and bolstering his numbers with much sympathetic beleagured Sicilian peasants.
