William Howard Taft implemented his policy of dollar diplomacy which stated that US trade would be promoted by promoting American enterprises in foreign nations. In order to see if this policy was a success, he went to China and he talked to American bankers and tried to get their support to invest in the buildings of railroads in China, which succeeded.
