Ancient Egypt was a civilisation of people from Northeast Africa, specifically located along the Nile river in modern day Egypt. There are 8 different periods that the empire can be classified in. After the unification of Upper and Lower Egypt the early dynastic period began, however it truly became an empire during the period of the new kingdom (16th Century Bc- 11th Century bc). This marked the peak of its power.
