The Presidency of Warren Harding: Scandals and Death: Teapot Dome (POL) – President Warren Harding was a Republican president after the war. His presidency was less than perfect in that it had a lot of corruption. Similar to Ulysses S grant, the president himself was not corrupted but his appointed board was. Two members of his cabinet had accepted bribes in return for turning a blind eye with some oil companies near Teapot Dome, Wyoming. This scandal was referred to as the teapot Dome scandal and Harding never had any connection to it.
