Louis XV was born on February 15, 1710, and died on May 10, 1774. He was the great grandson of King Louis XIV, and became a young king at the age of 5 after Louis XIV's death. Unlike his great grandfather however, he did not govern the country by himself at this young age, and a regent did most jobs for him until he was 13.
