He was born with the name: Cassius Marcellus Clay Jr. At age 18 he won the summer olympics in light heavy weight. He became a professional boxer later that year.
In 1961 he converted to islam and took the name "Muhammed Ali"
In 1964 he won the heavyweight championship and continued his journey as a pro boxer.
In 1966 he refused to be drafted into the military, because of his religious beliefs. He also did not understand the reason behind throwing bombs at vietnamese people. He lost all of his boxing titles because of his religious decision and did not fight for four years.
He came back and won several fights and titles and became one of the greatest boxers of all time
