WW II begins which results in a request for several specialists to create training materials for the thousands of new soldiers. Several of those involved in this process were psychologists and educational specialists. Due to these two groups’ paradigms, the materials created during this period emphasized tests administered to assess an individual’s abilities. Additionally significant amounts of training materials were developed during this period including more than 400 training films and 600 filmstrips.
