UN forces were ready to counterattack in September of 1950. MacArthur had a plan to drive the invaders from South Korea. He suspected that North Korea would have limited supplies so he decided to strike a surprise attack behind enemy lines because MacArthur knew he knew they wouldn’t suspect it.
