I listened to BBC 6 minute English on my way home. (What I listened to are some downloaded audio files) One of them talked about cryptocurrencies, i.e code currencies. By listening this broadcast, I got to know that are going to launch their own digital currency- Libra.
Although bitcoins and Libra are all cruptocurrencies, they have some differences. For example, Libra will be back up by a number of real currencies such as the dollar, the pound the euro etc, while bitcoin is completely independent. I think this related to both society and politics factors of globalization.
