Edict of Milan 313 Religious freedom is granted to Christians in the Roman Empire.
Council of Nicaea 325 Nicene Creed shapes the early doctrine of the Trinity. The Son is said to be "of one substance with the Father" Arians and all rejectors of this doctrine are called "enemies of Christianity" The works of Arius were ordered to be confiscated and burned.
Nicene Christianity becomes the official religion of the Roman Empire Under Emperor Theodosius I
Council of Constantinople 381 Nicene Creed is modified and formally established. Arianism begins to die out after a period of persecution by the Church. With the official establishment of Trinitarian doctrine next councils will focus on Christology.
Constantine I dies right after his conversion to Christianity (He chose the Arian bishop for his baptism, which means that he died while still rejecting the doctrine of the Trinity)
The great councils of 359–60 Supported by Constantine II were an attempt to revise the Nicene Creed and probably remove the Trinitarian doctrine. Considered by the Church as heretical and not ecumenical.
