Anton Van Leeuwenhoek 1632 - 1723 From Netherlands; made the microscopes which which he was able to use to see first bacteria and protozoa. This contributed to the revolution because it disproved of generation of life theory.
Andreas Vesalius 1514 - 1564 From Belgium; discovered the systems of the body which contributed to understanding of the body and understanding the flow of blood around the body.
David Hume 1711 - 1776 From Scotland; Made the Treatise of Nature (1739-1740) which said to make the observation of man in psychological nature. This impacted the revolution by saying that human knowledge is from experience and showed that humans have innate ideas.
Francis Bacon 1561 - 1626 From England; argued/developed the scientific method and said that scientific knowledge is from careful observations and inductive reasoning.
Galileo Galilei 1564 - 1642 From Italy; invented the improved telescope which contributed to revolution because he was able to observe the "heavens" and allowed to see planets for astronomy for later generations.
Isaac Newton 1643 - 1727 From England; Created calculus and formula for gravity and laws of motion and gravity. Calculus described how variables are in constant motion and constant nature of mathematics which changed math for people of the time. Laws and motion/gravity described how things are attracted to Earth' surface.
Johannes Kepler 1571 - 1630 From Germany; discovered 3 planetary laws of motion. This lead to astronomers seeing how planets move around the sun, and lead to discovery of day times and better understanding of planetary motion.
Nicolaus Copernicus 1473 - 1543 From Poland; Said the sun was center of the universe and earth revolved around it (Heliocentric Theory). Challenged modern theory of Earth being center of universe and made new people recognize importance of the sun.
Paracelsus 1493 - 1541 From Switzerland; where he was first to mix chemicals and minerals - created medicine from toxic minerals. This contributed to toxicology by creating new methods to heal people with medicine and keeping wounds uninfected.
Pierre Bayle 1647 - 1706 From France; worked on encyclopedia of The Historical and Critical Dictionary. This impacted the revolution as it created influential text which helped writers and philosophers in their writings.
Rene Descartes 1596 - 1650 From France; created analytical geometry and worked on scientific method and its direct reasoning. Analytical geometry linked geometry and algebra for scientific revolution, and his scientific method being published as well led to modern day use of scientific method.
Robert Boyle 1627 - 1691 From England; Invented boyle's law, performed controlled experiments, was first to define element. This helped chemistry and comparing volume and temperature, which lead to more controlled experiments in scientific revolution.
Tycho Brahe 1546 - 1601 From Denmark; Made theory mixed with sun-centered and earth-centered solar systems that said planets revolve around sun, but sun revolves around Earth. This contributed to revolution by rejecting the copernicus model which made more people believe the sun was the center of the solar system, but revolved around the earth.
William Harvey 1578 - 1657 From England; first to recognize the full circulation of blood in the human body. This effected revolution because doctors would now replace blood that was lost in the body in order to fulfill blood circulation.
Margaret Cavendish 1623 - 1673 From England; She wrote about atomism, materialism, Animal rights, gender equality, and etiquette. This effected revolution by giving women more power within education and within the social hierarchy. Also spoke about manners and proper treatment of animals.
Emilie du Chatelet 1706 - 1749 From France; explanation on energy and energy conservation, and she translated Newton's "Principia" into French. This helped revolutionize science in France and bring more knowledge among french people in the revolution. Explanation on energy showed women can be talented in "advanced" topics and helped explain energy to French people.
