History and Evolution of Satan

The green sections are bible addresses, when they were written, and what role Satan plays in them. The orange sections cover all mentions of afterlife that was not touched on in the bible addresses when I examined them. The red sections are additional terminology. In the evolution of Satan as a mythological figure, we’ve seen many forms of Satan. Most of them don’t resemble anything close to the fallen angel Lucifer. Through allegory, mistranslations, and the efflorescence through differing cultural lenses, Satan turns from the son of God who opposes and questions, to a fiery, fallen angel seeking to bring down humanity and lead us away from light. The following focuses on Satan’s role in biblical text in historical order and defines terms as seen appropriate. Reasons I met guidelines: (I needed to affirm my decision to make a timeline in order to get a few hours of sleep instead of pulling an all-nighter so I could make an illustrated essay.) I made few to no grammatical errors and referred to the proper biblical addresses. I explained the required concepts in a historically correct context and the definitions provided are from our classes. I adequately covered each section to show how it fit in the evolution of Satan as a mystical figure. There is a clear beginning, middle, and end because it is a timeline.
