The Byzantine and Islamic Civilizations have been known to contain some of the greatest empires of all time. These 2 empires have had a massive influence on the lives that we live today. Our governments, economies, and laws are just a few examples of things that have been greatly influenced by the Islamic Civilizations and Byzantine Empire.
