Quits school and becomes apprentice of Ghirlandaio. (1488)
Stops being an apprentice and starts studying sculpturing in Medici house. (1489)
Leaves the Medici house but shortly comes back. (1492)
Moves to Rome where his work (BACCHUS) is sold for the first time. (1497)
Sculpts Pietà for French cardinal (1498)
returns to Florence. Creates marble and bronze statue (DAVID). Also, sculpts 12 Apostles by order for Cathedral Cabildo. (1502)
Finishes what today is the only surviving easel painting by him (MADONNA DONI) (1503)
Michelangelo flees the city to Bologna. Sculpts statues for San Domenico tomb (1495)
Is called to build a tomb for Pope Julius II. (1505)
Leaves Rome after the tomb request is canceled, in anger and frustration. (1506)
Returns to apologize and receives another request from the Pope. (November 1507)

Pope Clement request a painting of The Last Judgement for the Sistine Chapel. He returns to Florence to Medici family shortly, he then leaves the house and works, forever. (1532)
Pope Clement dies, new Pope (Paul III) asks him to paint The Last Judgement. (1534)
Completes The Last Judgement fresco painting. Meets Vittoria Colonna, to whom he dedicates many drawings and poems. (1541)
Julius tomb is completed and set up. Most works were finished byassistants and Michelangelo was not satisfied with the end results. (1545)
Begins his own tomb's Florentine Pietà (1546)
Pope Paul III declares Michelangelo as official architect of the St. Peter's Basilica.
Completed and final model of the Dome. (1561)
Destroys his tomb's Florentine Pietà in frustration. (1555)
Works on Rodanini Pietà without breaks, food, or sleep. He gets a fever and decides to go walk in the cold air. He then feels even worse and stays in bed. (1564)
Shortly dies and is buried in Santa Croce.
