Fall is eventually convicted of taking a $100,000 bribe. This crime, known as the Teapot Dome Scandal was considered the most significant scandal in U.S. politics before Watergate. In reaction, there are a variety of reforms, including the expansion of federal campaign finance disclosure requirements
