1 март 1872 г. - Signs Act creating Yellowstone Park, “a certain Tract of Land lying near the Head-waters of the Yellowstone River.” The land “shall be set apart as a public park or pleasuring-ground for the benefit and enjoyment of the people.”(17 Stat 32). Adminstration is placed “under the exclusive control of the Secretary of the Interior” who was charged to “provide against the wanton destruction of the fish and game” in the park
