22 янв 1883 г. - In United States v. Harris the Supreme Court holds that part of the Force Act of 1871 is unconstitutional. The Court says that the Fourteenth Amendment applies only to the acts of states, not of individuals (i.e., members of the Klan). The power to punish crimes like assault and murder is reserved to the States under the 10th Amendment
