Resolution on the Living Conditions of the Palestinian People

The General Assembly,

Recalling the Vancouver Declaration on Human Settlements (1976), the recommendations of the Conference for International Co-operation, and Economic and Social Council resolution 2100 (LXIII) of 3 August 1977,

Recalling also General Assembly resolution 31/110 of 16 December 1976,

1. Notes the Secretary-General’s report on Palestinian living conditions in occupied territories and sees the need for further analysis;

2. Requests the Secretary-General, in collaboration with relevant UN bodies and agencies, to prepare a comprehensive report on the social and economic impacts of Israeli occupation on Palestinian living conditions, to be submitted at the thirty-third session of the General Assembly;

3. Requests the Secretary-General to consult with the Palestine Liberation Organization during the preparation of the report;

4. Urges all States to cooperate with the Secretary-General in this effort.
