The General Assembly

Resolution on the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People

1. Expresses appreciation to the Committee on the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People for its efforts and acknowledges its report.

2. Endorses the Committee's recommendations as a basis for resolving the Palestine issue, and decides to circulate the report to relevant UN bodies for appropriate action.

3. Urges the Security Council to review and act on the Committee's recommendations to advance towards a solution for Palestine and establish lasting peace in the Middle East.

4. Authorizes the Committee to promote implementation of its recommendations and report on progress to the General Assembly at its thirty-second session.

5. Requests the Committee to widely disseminate information about its program through non-governmental organizations and other channels.

6. Requests the Secretary-General to publicize the Committee's work and provide necessary support, including summary records of its meetings.

7. Decides to include the "Question of Palestine" on the provisional agenda of the thirty-second session.
