The General Assembly

Recalling its numerous resolutions on Palestine refugees,

Noting the Commissioner-General’s annual report for 1 July 1966 to 30 June 1967,

Regrets the lack of progress on refugee repatriation or compensation and the reintegration program, maintaining serious concern over the situation;

Thanks the Commissioner-General, staff, and supporting organizations for their efforts in aiding Palestine refugees;

Directs the Commissioner-General to continue equitable relief distribution in cooperation with relevant governments;

Regrets the lack of progress by the United Nations Conciliation Commission on repatriation and requests continued efforts;

Highlights the critical financial situation of the Relief and Works Agency;

Expresses concern that contributions are insufficient despite successful fundraising efforts, and urges increased contributions from all governments;

Calls on all governments to urgently contribute to meet the Agency’s needs and address the budget deficit.

The General Assembly,

Recalling resolution 2252 (ES-V) of 4 July 1967,

Considering the Secretary-General’s and Commissioner-General’s reports,

Concerned about ongoing suffering from recent Middle East hostilities,

Reaffirms resolution 2252 (ES-V);

Supports the Commissioner-General’s emergency humanitarian efforts for those displaced by recent hostilities;

Appeals to all governments, organizations, and individuals for special contributions to assist the Relief and Works Agency and other relevant entities.
