Ian McNee writes the Book of the Vishanti. He claims that it is the transcription of a conversation he had with the Elder God Oshtur. According to McNee, Oshtur appeared to him in the Serpent's Sea while he was transcendent. She related to him that in the beginning, the Demiurge - the sentient life force of Earth's biosphere - seeded the Earth with 'pieces' of its own life essence, giving birth to the Elder Gods. These were the Vishanti, and included Gaea, Hoggoth, Oshtur herself, Heka-Nut, and Set. They protected the world against darker beings from other realms of existence, like Chthon or Hela. She also described the Three Paths to Enlightenment, and the three Ages of Earth - the Rising Sun, when the Elder Gods ruled; the Setting Sun, when the Lesser Gods ruled; and the Midnight Sun, when Men will rule.
