1 янв 1993 г. - IBM and BellSouth unveil the Simon Personal Communicator, at the Wireless World Conference in November 1993. The IBM Simon is considered the first smartphone, as it featured a LCD touchscreen, and was able to make and receive cellular phone calls. The Simon Communicator was also able to send and receive faxes, e-mails and cellular pages.
