Dobby confronts Harry and insists that he cannot return to Hogwarts. When Harry refuses to listen, he causes a catastrophe that gets Harry in trouble. He attempts to tell the truth, but neither Lily nor Snape are convinced; Snape doesn't hold back from saying he believes Harry was making up excuses to avoid punishment. Lily unfortunately sides with Severus, further upsetting Harry.
