- Meanwhile, outside, Ed mistakes a walker for Carol and gets fatally attacked, triggering chaos as walkers swarm the campsite.
- Amid the panic, Amy and others are bitten, prompting frantic attempts to defend themselves.
- Shane orders everyone into the RV for safety. Rick and the others rush back to the camp upon hearing gunshots, eventually clearing out the walkers.
- Despite their efforts, casualties occur, leading to grief and the realization of the need to bury the dead.
