Before creating The Vortex Coalition, Coltsnid arrived in 2b2t in the year 256. During his first few years, he explored near spawn, walking around exploring. Colt would create little communities to join him on his adventures.

In the year 279, AmericanOreo, a friend of Coltsnid for 7 years, decieded to vventure out to found a city. The two founded a small city far away from. This city would later become the Phase I VoCo Capitol.

In the year 305, Sato and the rest of Valkyria amassed their members at spawn, marking the 3rd Incursion on 2b2t. However, this was largely unknown to Coltsnid and AmericanOreo, who still didn't know what an Incursion was.

Colt and Oreo were on a trip from spawn back to their city, when they encountered a player in the nether named FuzzyFutureFox. At first, the two befriended him, however, Oreo later killed him for his stuff.

FuzzyFutureFox was a participant in the 3rd Incursion, as Colt and Oreo quickly found out through angry members of the citizens of Valkryia praising Valkyria and the Incursion.

Within the next day, Sato and his imperial guard quickly found Colt and Oreo's camp and ransacked it killing many of their men accompanying them.

This chain of events is what inspired Coltsnid to create a nation that would mock and satirize Valkyria, to take revenge against Sato.

The Vortex Coalition was founded by Coltsnid and AmericanOreo in late 307. A symbol was designed by Colt which resembles the spiral of a vortex. Efforts to harass Valkyria began with VoCo's infamous "Did you know?" Spam campaign.

The VoCo Spam campaign would frequently post satirical over-the-top papers that were designed to annoy Sato and the citizens of Valkyria.

The papers sent out consisted of "Did you know? The Vortex Coalition is currently occupying and renovating Spawn." and "Did you know? The Vortex Coalition single-handedly carved out all of the Nether highways." These papers would be a apart of 2b2t culture with "did you know?" papers being produced throughout 2b2t throughout the years

The VoCo/Valkryia rivalry was one of the oldest on 2b2t and was often made fun of. The nickname "VoCo" came to exist through constant arguments in the 2b2t chat about the nation, with the term being coined by someone as saying very negative things.

Over the next decade, VoCo rose in population. 2b2t only had a dip in population during this time. As such, VoCo represented a relatively large percentage of the 2b2t, thanks to the recruitment strategy of newcomers.

The Vortex Coalition would become the longest-running and second-largest nation in 2b2t history.
