Their purpose was to examine the high school curriculum and make recommendations for change. Believed the curriculum should be geared toward college preparation. This group also thought faculty psychology should be taught to create a stronger mind within the students. Lastly, they thought having many non-English speaking immigrants and a growing lower class would possibly cause division in society.
