Jeramiah Burk Jr. II is arrested after attempting to poison his wife, Elizabeth. Six months earlier, Elizabeth had begun attending worship at the Dionysian Temple, much to the anger of Jeramiah. In an attempt to dissuade her from further attendance, he poisoned a bottle of wine she had received from her last visit, hoping she would believe he wine had been poisoned by the group.
