Clinton in 1994 sends American troops in order to restore the government within Haiti. Clinton wanted to restore democracy within Haiti. Many nations had placed an embargo on Haiti. The U.S went in and restored the government back to a democracy by getting rid of Jean-Bertrand Aristide. This would help Clinton build relationships again with Haiti.
