Equal Pay Act is signed prohibiting sex-based wage discrimination. The law was signed by President John F. Kennedy as part of his New Frontier Program. This law has closed the gap between women's and men's wages from 62.3% to 81.1% as of 2018. Although it is not completely equal pay many factors go into calculating your wages.
