An excerpt from our text states "Our major miscalculation was in underestimating their quick and complete mastery of film education." Reiser, R.A. (2001) During this period the United States had just entered World War 2. The United States government was faced with the task of training young men and women in military tactics at an alarming rate. The use of Instructional videos were essential to this task being successful. Some would say this period was very similar to how the government and school system reacted to the start of the Covid 19 pandemic. Although the goverment tried it's best to get these instructional videos out it still took a long time for the learners to be able to see these films due to production times and location.
