“she founded that from a sampling of 728 lynching reports, only 1/3 of black men lynched had actually ‘ever been charged with rape, to say nothing of those who were innocent of the charge.’” (Jason Reynolds, pg 120) Her findings showed that white men were lying about black men raping white women. The victims were wrongfully and maliciously murdered due to racist intent.
