Ulysses Bloodstone attends a performance of the Arcane Order of the Night. There he meets Elise Wentworth. They become infatuated with each other. Eventually, he confesses his nature to her. Given her occult predilections, she in incredibly receptive to his origins. They marry soon after. He gives her the Bloodstone of the Nibelungs as a wedding ring.
