Fish visited the Budd family at their home in Manhattan under the pretense that he would hire 18 year old Edward Budd. Fish admitted that he intended to tie Edward up, mutilate him and leave him to bleed out. After Fish saw 10 year old Grace Budd he changed his target. FIsh convinced her parents to have Grace Budd accompany Fish to his nephews birthday party one night. Needless to say Grace never returned home again. Fish would later say that while he was strangling Grace Budd that he had multiple involuntary ejaculations. After the killing Fish had left letter to Grace's mother. It was from this letter that the police were able to track Fish to a location bring him in for questioning where he openly admitted to killing Grace Budd.
