The massive legendary Battle of Bravellir was fought between Harald Wartooth, King of Denmark, and Sigurd Hring, King of Sweden. Sigurd won and became King of Denmark and Sweden. The battle is celebrated in numerous sagas and recorded in the Gesta Danorum. It is depicted as an apocalyptic battle between many tribes and heroes. If these stories are accurate, the Battle of Bravellir sets the stage for the Viking Age.
