Wi-Fi is a set of wireless local area network (WLAN) technologies based on the IEEE 802.11 standards, which allows multiple devices to connect to each other via radio waves and exchange data. Wi-Fi is also a trademark of the Wi-Fi Alliance, which permits the use of the term Wi-Fi Certified only for products that successfully complete interoperability certification testing.
